The International Laboratory Accreditation Partnership is a non-governmental organization with the ILAC Secretariat as its permanent body in Australia. Its purpose is to promote international cooperation in international trade by increasing acceptance of test and calibration results from accredited laboratories in order to remove technical barriers to trade. As of December 12, 2008, 62 laboratory accreditation bodies in 48 economies around the world have signed the ILAC mutual recognition agreement. The identification certificates with this mark can be mutually recognized internationally, and the identification results can be recognized by the United States, Japan, France, Germany, the United Kingdom and other countries.

On January 31, 2001, China National Laboratory Accreditation Committee (CNAL) signed a multilateral mutual recognition agreement "ILAC-MRA" (ILAC Mutual Recognition Arrangement) with the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation organization (ILAC), and on January 2005 Obtained the permission of ILAC to use the "ILAC-MRA" international mutual recognition mark, which indicates that the test report issued by the CNAL-accredited testing laboratory can use the "ILAC-MRA" mark while using the CNAL mark. CNAL has been merged into CNAS.
