• Is it mandatory: yes

• Regulated Products: Products subject to regulations

• Factory Inspection: None

• Certificate validity: per batch

KUCAS Certification Program:

(1) All specified products must comply with Kuwait national technical regulations or relevant international standards;

(2) Each export batch of specified products must hold an ICCP certificate (CC) along with the goods for customs clearance;

(3) Specified goods without CC certificate upon arrival at the port of entry of the importing country may be rejected, or a sample test may be required. If it does not meet the requirements of the importing country, it will be ordered to return to the port of shipment, resulting in unnecessary delays and losses for the exporter or manufacturer.

The ICCP plan provides three ways for exporters or manufacturers to obtain CC certificates. Customers can choose the most appropriate way according to the nature of their products, the degree of compliance with standards, and the frequency of shipments. The CC certificate is issued by the PAI Country Office (PCO) authorized by Kuwait.

If conforming to the ICCP certification scheme, there are the following three forms:

(1) Pre-shipment inspection (PSI) and pre-shipment test (PST);

(2) Registration and pre-shipment inspection;

(3) Type approval.
