On 7 November 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has announced the Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) Candidate List for authorisation, adding triphenyl phosphate (TPP) to the list. It now contains 242 entries of substances.

The information of the substance is as follows:

According to REACH regulation, producers and importers have to communication in supply chain when SVHC in article ＞0.1%; producers and importers have to notify to ECHA when SVHC in article＞0.1% & SVHC in article ＞ 1t/yr/producer or importer.

In the context of the Waste Framework Directive, suppliers of articles need to provide information to the SCIP database on those articles which contain Candidate List substances in a concentration above 0.1% w/w as from January 5, 2021.
