ANE Colombia will regulate the use of radars in vehicles!

In February 02 the NATIONAL SPECTRUM AGENCY Colombia published the document: Technical specifications for the use of radars in the 57 – 64 GHz band. will regulate the technical conditions for the use of the spectrum in the application of new information and telecommunications technologies in the automotive industry

 

The objective is to specifically regulate those radars that operate in the 57 – 64 GHz band. since some vehicle manufacturers are incorporating sensors, intended to improve the safety of the occupants and the vehicle in general.

 

The National Spectrum Agency in Colombia is still preparing the law resolution on this regulation, it is expected that the official publication and entry into force of the regulation will be made during the second half of 2024.
