UL 1026 (Household Electric Cooking and Food Serving Appliances) standard updated at Step. 29, 2023.

This update involves pull test of supply cord and requirements of supply cord label.

The update as follows：

Update 1： Clarify the requirements of pull test of supply cord.

l  Clause 10.2.2.5 revises partial texts description；

l  Clause 10.2.2.6 add judgment condition；

According to the updated standard requirements, when judging the results of pull test of supply cord, If any of the following conditions exist, so the construction that provides stress relief is not acceptable：

l  Supply cord jacket displacement，As a result, the requirement of no stress at the electrical contact is not met；or

l  The displacement of the internal wire of supply cord jacket exceeds 2 mm.

Update 2：As an optional alternative scheme to comply with durability of supply cord label, Add the contents of supply cord label of UL 969A.

l  Clause 62.1 The evaluation of test results for durability of supply cord label is described；

l  Clause 62.6、67.25、67.27、69.12and SB9.1 revises partial texts description；

According to the updated standard requirements, The supply cord label must meet any of the following conditions：

l  Labels that meet the requirements of UL 969A；or

l  Evaluate and meet the marking requirements for durability of supply cord label in clause 62 of the standard。

UL 969A, published on July 29, 2020, is a standard for flag labels, wrap labels and related products.

Purchasing supply cord labels that meet this standard directly eliminates the need for label durability testing on the end product, shortening product testing and time-to-market.
