GB/T 7251.2-2023 "Low-voltage complete sets of switchgear and control equipment Part 2: Complete sets of power switchgear and control equipment" (hereinafter referred to as the "new version of the standard") has been released on August 6, 2023 and will be released in March 2024 Implemented and replaced GB/T 7251.12-2013 (hereinafter referred to as the "old version standard") on the 1st.

China Quality Certification Center (CQC) has revised the certification rules CQC12-000001-2020 "General Rules for Type II Voluntary Certification" involved in this standard, involving product certification business category: 107501.

The relevant requirements for the revision and implementation of the rules are hereby notified as follows:

1)     Main revisions to the implementation rules

1.      The certification is based on the standard GB/T 7251.2-2023 instead of GB/T 7251.12-2013;

2.      Modify the corresponding clause codes and names in Table 5-5 and Table 5-9 in Appendix 5 according to the new version of the standard;

3.      Added the conditions for the initial factory inspection of low-voltage switchgear products to be covered.

2)     Requirements for implementing new standards and rules

1.      From October 27, 2023 to February 29, 2024, enterprises can voluntarily choose to implement certification in accordance with the new version of the standard or the old version of the standard; starting from March 1, 2024, CQC will use the new version of the standard to implement certification and issue the new version of the standard. Certification certificate, the old version of standard certification certificate will no longer be issued;

2.      For products that have been certified according to the old version of the standard, the standard version replacement of the relevant certificates can be carried out from October 27, 2023; the conversion of the old version of the standard certification certificate will end on February 28, 2025. If the conversion is not completed after the expiration date, The certification certificate will be suspended; for certificates that have not completed the version change on March 1, 2026, the old version of the standard certification certificate will be revoked;

3.      All relevant laboratories should report their new standard testing capabilities to our center as soon as possible, and should promptly file the status of passing the new standard laboratory qualification accreditation and accreditation.
