On 26 January 2023, the Official Journal of the European Union has published Commission Delegated Directives (EU) 2023/171 to add a new Hexavalent Chromium exemptions in Annex III under RoHS (Directive 2011/65/EU).

According to (EU) 2023/17, In Annex III to Directive 2011/65/EU, the following entry 9(a)-III is inserted:
