令和4年8月（2022-08），Japan Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry released the document《電気用品の技術上の基準を定める省令の解釈について（通達）の一部改正について》。

The correction content includes the update of the standard version in “别表第十二”:

JIS standard based on the adopted international specifications (IEC standard) will be revised to the latest JIS standard (8 standards: supplementary reference).

IMPLEMENTATION OF STANDARDS

Implementation Date of the new standard：令和4年8月31日（2022-08-31）

Expiration date of the old standard：令和7年8月31日（2025-08-31）

Existing certificates whose test standard includes J60598-1（H29） and J61347-1 （H29）will become invalid after 2025-08-31. Certificate holders should renew their certificates before 2025-08-31.
