Publisher:Admin  Source:  Date:2022/6/28

On June 13, 2022, India’s Telecommunication Engineering Centre (TEC) issued notification to postpone implementation date of mandatory test and certification of MTCTE phase-III and phase-IV products.

Below are the main changes:

1. Acceptance date of test reports issued by accredited lab will be postponed to June 30, 2023.

2. The effective date of mandatory certification of MTCTE phase-III and IV products will be postponed to July 1, 2023.

All other conditions and details indicated in original notification “5-2/2021/-TC/TEC/112” dated on January 31, 2022 shall remain unchanged.

Meanwhile, on June 14, 2022, the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) published notification to suspend the decisions in “circular dated on April 28, 2022”, for cross-reference of original circular. The routine surveillance covered under CRS will still be carried out by MeitY, while BIS is advised to put the surveillance process on hold. For those samples which are not tested yet, the surveillance cost will be returned.
