In September 2017, there are total 50 recall cases on toys in the major global markets. Thereinto, 46 recalls were published at the European Commission Rapid Alert System (RAPEX), which always releases the most notifications on recalled toys. Also, there include 2 recalls in America, 1 recall in Australia and Canada each.

The potential danger of these recalled toys mainly came from the restricted chemicals that may have effects on health and intelligence development, and small parts which may lead to choking. Besides, the risk of burning always presented on children’s costumes while the strangulation is always caused by long cords and string. Especially, some recalled products not only present single hazard.
