Turkey Ministry of Economy has circulated an internal letter to announce that they will start a new control at the custom stage for shoe products. The control shall be for restricted Chromium VI content and restricted DOT (Dioctlytin). The control started on July 10, 2017.

As early as 2012, Turkey Ministry of Economy has performed phthalate control for shoe products at the custom stage before custom clearance. According to the new announcement, footwear products shall be subjected to control for below restrictions during the customs stage.
